Sunday, April 21st, 2 p.m. Plass Recital Series presents An Enchanted Afternoon of Flute and Piccolo featuring works by J.S. Bach, G.P. Telemann, J.P.E Hartmann, Hans-Andre Stamm, and Craig Phillips. Perming with Dr. Linda Patterson, organ, and Marianne Henry, violin.

Thursday, April 12th, 4 p.m. Carol Wincenc Masterclass hosted at East Carolina University. Performed Robert Muczynski's Three Preludes.

 

Thursday, February 1st, 6:00 p.m. Faculty Recital featuring Alexander Busby and woodwinds and Anthony Allen on percussion. This recital will feature the works of Poulenc, Brahms, Whitney and many others. This recital will be in the Columbus High School Auditorium and is free and open to the public. 

 

Monday, January 1st, 3:00 p.m. Organ and flute recital featuring             Dr. Linda Patterson with Alexander Busby on flute/piccolo performing   an exciting, sacred, and secular New Year’s Day program on the Henry Erben pipe organ. The recital is in the Edythe Bates Old Chapel (Round Top, TX) on Festival Hill. Tickets can be purchased via festivalhill.com.

2022

February 2022, "A Woodwind Exhibition" series of woodwind performances throughout all 12 middle schools in Seminole County, FL.  Standard repertoire on all five of the woodwind instruments will be performed during this performance series. Funding is made possible by The Foundation at SCPS, Grants for Great Ideas.

Friday, January 21, 6:30 p.m. ​Flute Recital with guest artist Christine Gustafson, flute. This recital is funded by the Foundation at SCPS "Grants for Great Ideas" and will features works by Amanda Harberg, Shulamit Ran, Franz Doppler and Yuko Uebayashi.

July 11, 14, 16, 18 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Virtual 2020 ECU Band Camp Flute Camp, Introductory session and three online flute camp sessions inviting grades 6-12, open to 2020 ECU Band Camp flutists whose registration was cancelled due to COVID-19!  Open also to all young flutists who register through ECU flute professor Dr. Christine Gustafson at gustafsonc@ecu.edu; featuring ECU MM woodwinds grad Alexander Busby--activities including warmups, chamber music playing, performance and masterclasses, with advanced sessions and coaching for university level auditions.  Tuition Free!

Sunday, March 29, 5 p.m. Graduate Woodwinds Recital, A. J. Fletcher Recital Hall, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC

Featuring works by Mower, Brahms, Bach, Rossini, Saint-Saëns and Delibes on all five woodwind instruments (flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone and bassoon). He will be joined in recital with graduate collaborative pianist and colleague Sarah Summers.

Sunday, January 26, 6:30 p.m. Demarre McGill Masterclass/Recital (overall winner of the Masterclass Competition) , Southern Charleston University, Charleston, SC (flute performance)
